…about “legal” abortion is that it is NOT safe. Abortion proponents lie about injuries and deaths for the sake of keeping it legal. Please read “Lime 5.” Killing has a disturbing effect on the killers. Just think about it. If “doctors” are willing to kill a defenseless baby, what else are they willing to do? If it doesn’t “bother” them to kill a baby, it won’t “bother” them to maim or kill that baby’s mother. Lying about it is even easier. Crime begets crime as surely as dog begets dog. I put “bother” in quotes because it is not human nature to be comfortable with killing. The killer will either develop bizarre coping behaviors – like avoidance or denial in the face of blatant facts – or just lose sanity altogether. No less a great person than Frederick Douglass said that slavery harms both the slave and the slaveowner…it was his experience as a slave that showed him both parties are victims of the practice. In just the same way the killing of human beings has a profound effect on those who kill them and those who witness the murder. We all readily acknowledge that our troops suffer from the violence and killing of war, which stems not only from being shot at but also killing their attackers. At least they can comfort themselves with the knowledge it was self defense. How can someone not be harmed by killing a completely defenseless child – or its mother? The truth is abortions kill and maim babies and mothers, and cause extreme disturbances in the ones who perform or even just witness these acts of violence.
…The only people who support abortion either profit from it, or else they do not really understand what goes on during the abortion process. They have never seen – or refuse to see – the senseless waste of a perfectly formed tiny human, nor the irreversible destruction of a woman’s generative power, nor the agonizing injuries and death she suffers because of the abortion procedure. No matter how “properly” it is done.
…Someone who apparently thought himself funny pulled up in front of the abortuary on Main Street and commented, “Casey Anthony was pro-choice.” The irony was he was right. There is NO difference between the murder of a little 3-year old girl and the abortion of a little three-pound infant just weeks away from birth. Would anyone really suggest that we deny the right to live to someone based on their age or size? If that is so, then they are no better than the Nazis saying the Jews had no right to live simply because they looked or worshipped differently. Nor are they any better than the slave traders and slave keepers who justified the ownership of another human being simply because of the color of their skin or the difference of their culture.
…A little child does not ask to be placed in its mother’s womb, nor does it “invade” her. It is the actions of the child’s mother and/or father who summoned its presence there. I write and/or because of there are indeed actual incidences of rape and incest, especially in the context of human trafficking. In other cases, the child’s mother willingly participates in the very act that results in the creation of a child, because she harbors the warped idea that she can without creating a child, or she has been lied to about reality and God’s purpose for “sex.” Sex is not for selfish purposes of making yourself feel better, it is for selfless purpose of giving love and giving life. But many in our backward culture are not told this truth. The very least we can do is not make innocent children bear the punishment for their fathers’ and/or mothers’ sinful, mistaken actions.
…Pope Paul VI, commenting in his 1968 encyclical, Humanae Vitae, said, “It is also to be feared that the man, growing used to the employment of anti-conceptive practices may finally lose respect for the woman and, no longer caring for her physical and psychological equilibrium, may come to the point of considering her as a mere instrument of selfish enjoyment, and no longer his respected and beloved companion.” Nowhere are those words more true than in the abortion clinics. How many men have forced girlfriends, wives, mistresses, and prostitutes to undergo an abortion to “get themselves off the hook”? How many “doctors” have raped and mistreated patients and female employees in abortion clinics because they have no respect for themselves or the women who come to them? Sadly, you don’t have to look far through criminal records to find the answer. Sometimes you have to go no further than your own past.
